The policy: This privacy policy notice is served by Brain Happy Ltd under the website; www.brainhappy.co.uk. The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information through the business and while you browse or use this website. If you do not agree to the following policy you may wish to cease viewing / using this website, and or refrain from submitting your personal data to us.

Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) we control and / or process any personal information about you electronically using the following lawful base:

  • Lawful basis: Consent
    Where our purpose for processing is: To provide user accounts for e-learning using your name and email address; or to provide statistics on website traffic and usage patterns, where your location and IP address can be recorded.  If you sign up to receive a free sample of our e-learning course or one of our free resources, your email will remain in our Mailchimp account and website email databases.  You will receive approximately 4 subsequent emails with links to further mental health & wellbeing resources.
    We process your information in the following ways: For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators  can also see and edit that information.  
    Data retention period: We will continue to process your information under this basis until you withdraw consent or it is determined your consent no longer exists.
    Sharing your information: Brain Happy does not share any of the personal data.  Our website does use GDPR compliant third party plugins, necessary for the functioning and administration of the website; for example, to process payment or host an e-learning course. These include Stripe, Learndash and Mailchimp.


If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices.  If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

We also use cookies to collect browsing data, through WordPress and Google Analytics.  This saves information such as your geographical location, search term and number of pages viewed.

Survey Feedback and Company Logos

We may post feedback you provide us in the form of quiz answers or emailed comments on our social media or main website using your first name and/or company name.  We may also include the company logo of consultancy or e-learning clients on our web page.  If you do not wish for your company logo and/or feedback comments to be displayed in this way, please let us know.
